I’ve been working online since: I started my VA business, The VA Pro, in 2008, following a thirty-year career in Corporate America. I immediately embarked on obtaining the specialized training I knew I would need in order to succeed in the virtual business world. I became certified in internet marketing, social media marketing and ecommerce. Subsequently, I was compelled to complete the Online Business Manager (OBM) certification program, as my background is in management. Since successfully completing the program in August, 2009, I am thrilled to be providing business management services virtually under my current business, OBM Elite.

Why I love working as an OBM: The decision to become an OBM was a natural progression to my thirty-year career in the professional administrative & management arena. I loved my work then, and I enjoy it even more now. I feel I have unquestionably found my niche in the business world. The satisfaction I get from my work gives me that much more incentive to perform well for the clients I serve.

My Strengths and Areas of Specialty: I seem to have a natural ability to analyze and problem solve. I always leave myself open to thinking outside the box when necessary to deal with challenges and resolve problems. I can usually come up with options on the fly for solutions to discuss and collaborate on. Additionally, I have strong project management and people management skills, and many years of experience in these areas. One of the first things I like to do when starting a new assignment is to look for more efficient and effective ways of doing business. I am very good at analyzing and streamlining processess, and developing new procedures.
My favorite kind of client to work with is…: I appreciate a client that is open to options and suggestions for different or better ways of doing things. A good, open line of communication is important to me in all of my business relationships. Receiving (and giving) responses and/or feedback in a timely manner is always appreciated as well.

My Business Goals for this year are: Obtain two new long-term OBM clients
