My Experience, I am a: Certified OBM

My Client Intake status is: Open - I am looking to work with new clients

Ive been working online since: 2005 after completing my training as a Virtual Assistant. Since that time, I have also upgraded my skills as a Professional Author’s Assistant.

I began my online journey after being “downsized” from a 20-year / Corporate tenure at a National Drug Retail chain.

During my Corporate career I worked in Operations, Operations Development, and Strategy. My skill sets include structuring operations plans, delivery/implementation of plans, and communications, and more. These are skills that I bring to the table as an OBM.

Why I love working as an OBM: I like being able to completely understand my client’s business and learn more about it. This would mean being involved in marketing, operations, and the competition - keeping current with my client’s industry.

I like to learn new things.

My Strengths and Areas of Specialty: I enjoy taking ideas and mapping out the processes to get end results. I can look at the bigger picture and develop the steps to get to where the client wants to be.

Collaboration is another strength of mine - working with various people and their specialties/expertise in order to deliver the best results.

My favorite kind of client to work with is…: My favourite client is someone who allows creative ideas to surface and who will take the time to brainstorm for deliverables. Someone who is open to new ideas and trusts that their OBM is looking out for their best interests.

They would be available when really needed, but can give latitude to their OBM partner.
Of course a client who can kick-back, relax and have a laugh is important too!!

My Business Goals for this year are: My goals are to shift a couple of my current clients to OBM clients and completely move into this role (from a VA).

As well, I will continue keeping current and/or upgrade my business skills as an OBM.
