Introducing the Online Business Manager Mastermind Group

Support, guidance and camaraderie for the professional Online Business Manager.

One of the best things you can do when in the growth process is make sure you have a good support structure – a team of like-minded people who understand where you are, can see where you are going and are there to help you through the bumps and to celebrate the journey.

Napolean Hill introduced the concept of the Mastermind Group in his classic book, “Think And Grow Rich” which was originally published in 1937. He defines a Mastermind Group as:

“The coordination of knowledge and effort of two or more people, who work toward a definite purpose, in the spirit of harmony.”

As great as being an Online Business Manager is, the very nature of ‘playing a bigger game’ comes with it’s own set of challenges… when you are working to grow your client’s business it will take you outside of your comfort zone, and sometimes into situations that create discomfort, frustration and at time chaos! Plus, it can sometimes feel a bit ‘lonely at the top.’

It’s all part and parcel of being an OBM, and yet that doesn’t mean we have to tackle it all alone and take the weight of the world on our shoulders (and many OBMs tend to do!)

If you are looking for…

  • someone to bounce ideas off of and brainstorm options
  • someone to help you decide on next steps (for you and your clients)
  • someone to keep you accountable for your next steps
  • someone with whom to share your progress and celebrate your wins!
  • someone to simply ‘vent’ to when you are having a rough day

… the OBM Mastermind Group is right up your alley!

We will be fostering discussion and connection in the OBM Mastermind Club via:

  1. Twice Monthly Live Coaching Calls (via bridgeline)
  2. and a Private Member-only Forum.

In the spirit of the Mastermind Group the topics of the coaching calls will of course be determined by you – the participants. Discussions will vary from call-to-call depending on what each of you are dealing with at the time, and may include things such as:

  • exploring new ways to contribute to the bottom line in your client’s business
  • how to approach the conversation around incentive based compensation
  • what to do when you are having trouble with a team member and are at your wits-end!
  • where to find the best resources/tools for new projects
  • how to set boundaries with a client who always wants more, more, more from you
  • brainstorming ways to help promote a new offering for a client
  • sharing ideas on how to transition into the OBM role with existing clients
  • and more… anything goes!

The Private Member-only Forum will be our way to stay connected between calls, to get ongoing support and to provide accountability to each other along the way.

There are a few requirements to join:

A Mastermind Group works best when everyone is on the same journey, and so we have a few pre-requisites for joining.

  1. You’ve read the book Becoming an Online Business Manager, and have a strong understanding of the role and responsibilities. If you haven’t read the book yet you can buy your copy at www.BecominganOBM.com.
  2. You are either actively working as an Online Business Manager or have committed to actively pursuing new OBM clients in the immediate future. (This group coaching program is not for dabblers, if you aren’t ready yet to work as an OBM or haven’t quite decided if this is for you then we invite you to consider other options such as joining the Association or 1-1 coaching.)
  3. You have a big vision and are ready to take real action – for both yourself and your clients.

The Details:

In order to ensure the best possible attention and support for your needs, we will be accepting a maximum of 12 people into the OBM Mastermind Group.

All coaching calls will be led by Tina Forsyth and Andrea J. Lee – sometimes together and sometimes solo. And will of course include all the wisdom and experience of your fellow OBMs as well.

The Mastermind Group will be offered in 4-month ‘semesters’. Duration of the Fall 2009 Mastermind Group is 4 months starting in September and ending in December.

There will be coaching calls twice per month, 75 minutes per call. All calls are scheduled for Tuesdays beginning in September and ending in December. As for the specific call time, we’ll be meeting at 9:00am pacifc / noon eastern on alternating weeks, like so:

September 8
September 22

October 6
October 20

November 3
November 17

December 1
December 15

A reminder email will be sent to you each week we have a group coaching call together. You’ll be able to reply to this email with your major coaching questions and situations in advance of the call so that our time together can be prioritized.

All call recordings and coaching resources/answers/laser replies will be posted at a OBM Mastermind Member Area for your unlimited use and reference.

How much will it cost?

You have 2 options for enrollment, either:

A fraction of the cost of ‘traditional’ 1-1 coaching, with the added benefit of being part of a group of like-minded OBMs who are on a similiar journey.

Hold your spot for the Spring 2010 session.

To answer a question that’s already been asked, yes, you may reserve a spot in the Spring Module of this same group, which will be the same as above but from January to April. Same rate and timing for calls. Make your $100 deposit here, and closer to January we will be in touch to complete registration. This just puts you in priority queue for one of the 12 spots. >> HOLD MY SPOT
